This summer, Nova Scotia’s top basketball athletes will represent our province on the national stage — including at the 2025 Canada Summer Games and the U15 National Championships. These players have worked incredibly hard to earn their spots and are training with pride and purpose.
At Basketball Nova Scotia, we’re committed to making sure that every athlete selected has the opportunity to participate — regardless of financial barriers. That’s why we’ve launched a series of fundraising initiatives to support our Provincial Team Program.
Our goal this summer is to raise $24,000 in bursary funding to support athletes who need it most. Each $500 bursary helps cover travel, training, and competition costs — ensuring that every athlete, no matter where they’re from or what their financial situation is, can proudly represent Nova Scotia.
Want to support a bursary? Reach out to Lori Lancaster at bnsexecutivedirector@sportnovascotia.ca.
We’re also raising funds through the Rafflebox Sport Split 50/50 Draw — and we’ve been among the top fundraisers in the province! All proceeds directly support our provincial athletes and coaches.

If you’re joining us at Scotia Showcase (July 4-6, 2025), be sure to take part in our on-site fundraising efforts, including:
50/50 draws
BNS merchandise sales
Other community-based initiatives throughout the weekend
Together, we can help ensure that every athlete has the chance to compete — and that cost isn’t a barrier to representing Nova Scotia with pride.
Thank you for your support!
