Access to Sport Nova Scotia Programs
|
KidSport is a national children’s program that helps kids overcome the financial barriers preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport. KidSport Nova Scotia provides funding of up to $500/year/child for athletes facing financial barriers for sport registration and/or equipment. |
Athlete assistance funding provides direct assistance for high-performance athletes. As part of this program, each PSO will receive $750 annually for a PSO carding program to support athletes who do not qualify for the current funding but who have been recognized for their potential high-performance results. |

Sport Nova Scotia’s SportSweep is a ready-made hassle free ticket campaign designed to raise money for sport teams, clubs and organizations throughout Nova Scotia. Tickets sell for $2.00 each and come in books of ten. From each ticket sold, your group gets $1.50! Sport Nova Scotia Looks after the printing and distribution of tickets (to selling team representative), arranging and distribution of the prizes and all costs incurred through the administration and coordination of the lottery. All you have to do is sell the tickets! |
Sport Split is Sport Nova Scotia’s brand new team/club fundraising program! Operating year-round with monthly 50/50 draws, teams/clubs can register to sell tickets through the online platform. Each participating team will have it’s own unique URL/Purchase Portal that tracks all team sales. Sales from all participating teams and clubs will feed into one monthly pot. |

A national youth basketball program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love of the game of basketball. In partnership with Canada Basketball designed for 5-12 year olds, Jr. NBA empowers basketball communities, clubs and facilities to positively impact youth through the sport of basketball. The Jr. NBA focuses on an holistic approach to athlete development based off of the Sport Canada Long-Term-Athlete Development Model.
