Basketball Nova Scotia is excited to announce the return of our annual summer tournament — Scotia Showcase! This three-day event brings together top club, community, and provincial teams from across the region for a high-energy, competitive, and community-driven basketball experience.
Last year's event was a major success, and we’re looking forward to making this year even better.
U14 Division (Boys & Girls) - Division is full

U17 Division (Boys & Girls) - Invite only
Wheelchair Division (Open to all) - Registration still open
Games at Canada Games Centre (CGC).
Wheelchair registration remains open until July 3, 2025.

Game Format & Guidelines
Game Length: 4 x 8-minute quarters, stop time
Breaks: 1-minute between quarters, 5-minute halftime
Warm-Up: Begins after previous game ends, minimum 5 minutes
Overtime: 5 minutes if needed
Shot Clock
No visible shot clocks used
Officials may count down 10 seconds for stalling or during final 2 minutes of close games
Ball Sizes
Boys: Size 7
Girls: Size 6
Rules & Expectations
No zone defenses in Development Divisions
Full court player-to-player defense allowed, but no backcourt trapping
Mercy rule applied at 25-point lead
Equal playing time is not required
Teams must bring their own warm-up balls
Please respect all officials and scorekeepers
